Divisional Commissioner in his address said that it is the need of the hour to encourage Sufi thoughts in Kashmir which are authentic symbols of our composite culture.Mayor of City, Junaid Mattu said that in the present emerging situation where some radical ideologies are being backed by violence, that can only be neutralised by Sufiyat and ideologies of love and peace.

It is gaining popularity with more number of citizens and Sufi shrines/associations participating each time. “Kashmir is land of Sufis, bestowed with religious tolerance and spiritual thought.
