Suhail Rather is new Legend Riders Bandipora President

Date:

Bandipora, Jan 28 : Legend Riders Bandipora a club of bike enthusiasts elected Suhail Rather as its president during the annual general elections conducted on Monday.

He said besides promoting tourism, the club also aims to bring the safe Riding Culture in Kashmir and create awareness among the people to wear a crash helmet while riding a two-wheeler and also to bring the virgin tourist areas on tourist maps.

A club is a group of young enthusiastic bikers who go on biking expeditions to explore the tourism potential in Bandipora especially the adventure tourism. The Club has organised various Off Road expeditions including a trip to Lolab via Aloosa, Gurez, Uri and Ladakh.

Speaking on the occasion, newly elected president of the club, Rather said the club will continue to organise bike expeditions to various virgin spots of not only the Bandipora district but will also explore other tourist spots of the Kashmir Valley.
“We are neglected by the Government and Tourism department despite the presence of scenic places in the district that can be an attraction for tourists be it rivers, Lakes, Glaciers, valleys etc, but a certain lobby is working in a valley that keeps tourists restricted to few identified spots and are not allowed to see other areas. Our expeditions want to put virgin tourist spots on tourism map and to draw the dormant mind of Government towards the unfading beauty of District,” Rather added. (Press Release)
