SULTAN WARRIORS CLINCHES THE TITLE OF GENERAL BIPIN RAWAT MEMORIAL TOURNAMENT 2023

In yet another noble endeavour aimed at fostering constructive activities for our youth and granting wings to the boundless dreams of cricketing aspirants, the Gen Bipin Rawat Memorial Cricket Tournament, held in the picturesque Baramulla District, was organised by the Dagger Division of Chinar Corps.

The T20 format cricket championship unfolded its splendor from 15 October to 04 November 2023. The exuberance and ardor of our vibrant youth were nothing short of astounding, reflected magnificently in the impressive array of participating teams. This spectacular event witnessed an awe-inspiring total of 52 participating teams engaging in 50 thrilling contests over the course of 20 days, culminating in a grand finale on 04 Nov 23.

In the riveting climax, set amidst the hallowed confines of the Jhelum Stadium, Sultan Warriors emerged triumphant, leaving an indelible mark by securing victory by a margin of 07 runs.

The grand tournament reached its splendid culmination on 04 November which was attended by Chinar Corps Cdr, Lt Gen Rajiv Ghai, other military officials and dignitaries from civil administration. Chinar Corps Cdr gave away honours to the triumphant teams and in his address he encouraged the youth to come forward during such events and seize the opportunities presented to them and extract maximum benefits from the sporting events organized by the Indian Army.
