Speak Up on Development or Face the Same Consequences as Brother Engineer Rashid

Jammu, Mar 03 : Leader of the Opposition (LoP), Sunil Sharma, strongly criticized Khurshid Ahmad Sheikh, the brother of jailed MP Engineer Rashid and MLA from Langate, urging him to stop misleading the public and instead focus on addressing real issues facing the people.
Referring to Khurshid, Sharma, as per Kashmir Despatch, stated that Engineer Rashid, who is currently in jail, had gained political traction through separatist ideologies and had actively pushed for the reinstatement of Article 370. He accused Khurshid of following in his brother’s footsteps by avoiding critical developmental issues such as improving roads, hospitals, and schools.
“Like his brother Engineer Rashid, who is in jail, Khurshid refuses to talk about the development of roads, hospitals, or schools. I advise him not to follow his brother’s path, or he will meet the same fate,” Sharma said.
The Leader of the Opposition emphasized that it is high time for Khurshid to stop misleading the public and start addressing the genuine concerns of the people. “It’s time he stops misleading people and starts addressing real issues,” Sharma added.
The remarks come after MLA Langate, Sheikh Khursheed Ahmad, staged a protest inside the Central Hall while Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha was addressing the assembly. Holding placards, Sheikh Khursheed vocally opposed several policies of the administration and demanded justice for the victims of recent killings in Baramulla and Kathua.
