DC Withholds Salary of 43 unauthorised Absent Officials
Baramulla, February 06: As a move to strengthen the accountability of govt employees working in different health institutions so as to provide qualitative health care services, surprise inspection of different health institutions was conducted today across district Baramulla.
The inspection was conducted by concerned SDMs on the directions of Deputy Commissioner Baramulla Mohammad Aijaz Asad. In Sopore, the inspection was conducted by the concerned ADC.
During inspection, 43 officials from across the district were found absent unauthorizedly from their duties. The details of all the absentees have been submitted to the DC who ordered withholding of salary of all the absentees.
Pertinent to mention that the health institutions that were inspected include 06 in Pattan, 07 in Tangmarg, 13 in Sopore, 05 in Baramulla and 09 in Uri medical block. The officals found absent include 4 in Pattan, 7 in Tangmarg, 23 in Sopore, 08 in Baramulla and 01 in Uri.
The Deputy Commissioner said that such an exercise will continue to instil regularity and discipline in government institutions for effective public service delivery.
It is, worthwhile to mention here that DC Baramulla had direct interaction with patients and their attendants during his surprise visit to GMC Baramulla and Truama Hospital Pattan where he directed all concerned for ensuring requisite medical services especially during night hours.
