Srinagar, : Former Deputy chief minister and senior BJP leader Kavinder Gupta on Wednesday lashed out over Omar Abdullah for making a senseless comment over targeting muslim community.
Senior BJP leader said COVID-19 is a global threat for mankind neither it targets to particular community on the bases of region, caste, colour and creed and can’t be expected this shameful remark from former chief minister Jammu and Kashmir.
BJP senior leader said it’s a visible to eveyone whole country is locked down, air and road traffic is suspended, educational and financial institutions are closed, people were appealed to stay indoors through several mode of communication, Public gathering places including temples and masjids were ordered to shut down however, Tabligi Jamaat people gathered together at Nizamuddin Masjid and many more places across the country. They not only dis-obeyed the orders issued by the Government of India and concerned authorities but made mesiry for 1.3 billion people, which gave a rapid boost to COVID-19 across the country.
The Senior BJP leader said GOI should take proper measures, should investigate the reason behind Tabligi Jamaat gatherings at Nizamuddin Masjid and many more places post getting directions from the authorities.
The Senior BJP leader also commented over Abdullah’s remark and said he should apologise to whole nation for making such unethical statement. He said the person having such ill thoughts not only destroyed the reputation of nation but had a negative impact over his domicile state since years.
Pertinent to mention here , Omar Abdullah on Tuesday took to Twitter and wrote , “At first glance it would appear the #TablighiJaamat were nothing if not irresponsible in the way they went about things but that is not unique to them. The majority of muslims in india have heeded government guidelines and advice the same as anyone else.
In his another tweet he said , For the record this was a statement put out by them clearfying their position and the steps taken by them , the stink of communalism in a lot of the critisism is nauseating.
In Another Tweet Omar Abdullah said , important to read the statement that was put out by Tabligi Jamaat clearfying all the steps they took to implement Govt guidelines. I tried to get in a format I could share directly here but that wasn’t possible so sharing this tweet instead.
