Srinagar: Reacting to the killing of a school student in Langate area of North Kashmir today after the end of elections, the Jammu and Kashmir People’s Movement (JKPM) chairman Shah Faesal said such incidents are result of disproportionate force being used against the protesters.
Mr. Faesal said that he was very saddened to know about the killing of a teenager in Langate. “A great day has ended on a very sour note. Such killings are a result of disproportionate force being used against the protesters, with a sense of impunity,” said Mr. Faesal.
He also added that these incidents are getting repeated inspite of the public outrage and magisterial enquiries ordered everytime. “Those responsible for this gruesome murder should be booked immediately,” he added. “The government can set an example by arresting the accused personnel on the basis of prima facie evidence.”
