Awantipora, Nov 12, CNS: Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, Manoj Sinha, on Tuesday extended heartfelt condolences to the families of those who lost their lives in the recent Red Fort car blast that occurred on November 10.
Addressing a gathering during the Foundation Week of the Islamic University of Science and Technology (IUST) in Awantipora, the Lieutenant Governor said, “I pay my condolences to those who lost their lives in the Red Fort car blast on the 10th of November.”
While condemning terrorism, Sinha emphasized that it remains the biggest challenge to peace, development, and communal harmony. “Terrorism is the biggest threat to peace and development, and it also weakens the brotherhood and unity among the public. It has devastated the youth of J&K for three decades,” he said.
Highlighting the transformation underway in Jammu and Kashmir, the LG noted that the present generation is moving forward with ambition and hope. “Today, our youth is fulfilling its dreams and aspirations, which is intolerable for the neighbouring country and some of its supporters,” he remarked.
Sinha called upon citizens to play a proactive role in maintaining peace and stability. “It is the duty of the public to inform the security forces about unsocial elements in the state, so that peace and harmony can be safeguarded,” he added. (CNS)
