SRINAGAR, Oct 3: A non-local bank manager escaped unhurt after terrorists fired at him in Pattan area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Monday, officials said.
“Today morning, Police received information that (terrorists) tried to attack outsider bank manager in Pattan area of Baramulla. Senior police officers reached at the spot to ascertain the facts,” a police spokesperson said in a statement to Kashmir Despatch.
Preliminary investigation, he said, revealed that terrorists tried to attack Vivek Kumar son of Ashok Kumar of Dehradun, Uttarakhand at present Dhobiwan Kunzer and working as Manager of Grameen Bank at Goshbugh Pattan. However, he said, terrorists could not succeed. “He is unhurt, safe and sound,” the spokesperson said.
Accordingly, he said, a case (FIR No. 282/2022) under relevant sections of law stands has been registered at Police Station Pattan and further investigation has been initiated.
