After almost two years the government seems finally resolute in its decision to re-open the schools as the Covid-19 spread has considerably come down.
Though strict Covid-19 SOP’s have to be still followed in all schools yet the students will once again experience that classroom atmosphere that remains pivotal for academic learning.
The onset of Covid-19 and incessant lockdowns have totally shattered our educational system which afterwards had to primarily remain dependent on less reliable e-classes.
These classes not only affected the educational standards but also posed a serious threat to the physical and mental health of the students.
Parents, teachers and mostly students seem highly excited to return back to school but avoiding delinquency is a determining factor which will decide the future course of things.
Use of masks, hand sanitizers, fumigations must be made mandatory inside the schools in order to counter the spread of this menace. The seating arrangements need to be recalibrated and proper distances between the pupils should be maintained as well.
Furthermore, in order to avoid the confusion where every flu nowadays is mistakenly considered as c
Corona virus, the children need to be vaccinated with normal seasonal flu shots that can deliver them a guard against other kinds of flu.
The government must make such flu vaccines mandatory and free for all children so that everyone is able to receive them as it will help to cater to the unnecessary panicking and rumor mongering.
Above all these precautionary measures, the government must perpetually take cognizance of the situation on ground and if it is felt that the Covid third way has begun, shutting down of schools remains the only rational and viable option.
