The unabating unemployment rates

Date:

After the breaking out of Covid-19 pandemic, India continues to face numerous problems among which the spiking unemployment crisis remains at topmost position. The skilled youth are presently facing huge problems in absence of suitable jobs.

The reports suggest that unemployment rates have increased at an unexpected pace primarily because of the spread of the contagion due which lakhs of people across the country had to loose their jobs.

Even the MSME’s and Small Scale Industries had to face the brunt of the economic slowdown that has crippled the market and even given rise to inflation. The government has time and again taken various apposite steps to curb this ominous trend but the situation seems only to get worse from bad.

The private sector is seriously choked because people always try to desist from investing in new ventures during prevailing circumstances. This has resulted in stagnation of the currency flow which inturn has decreased the requisite manpower needed for carrying out the routine work of the private firms and companies.

Even J&K is undergoing this tumultuous phase where a large section of our youth and adults alike have to face such a crisis. The main reason behind which is absence of a healthy private sector as the erstwhile state has predominantly remained dependent of government jobs for decades altogether.

There exists a pragmatic solution to this vicious trend and needs to be implemented in order to reverse the effects of unemployment. Spreading quality education, launching of career guidance programs for the budding & zealous youth, providing skill-based training in Skill Development Centres, creating job referral websites and encourage youth for setting up entrepreneur enterprises will act as a panacea to this crisis.
