A community radio station launched by the Indian Army in north Kashmir’s Sopore area will connect the Indian Army with the locals of the area. Ek Awaaz Jo Dil Ko Jagaye! Yes, we are talking about the FM Radio Station- Radio Chinar- the first community radio in north Kashmir launched by Indian army.
The launching of FM radio station will not only help Indian army to reach to the grassroot level for a new beginning and to understand the importance of younger generation, their wishes and aspirations. In an order to help the youth to fulfill their dreams by providing them a platform.
The Army is hopeful that the Radio Chinar would help them to reach out to the young population who want to excel in their profession and require a platform to showcase their talent.
This initiative by Indian army has actually started bearing the fruits with youth of Sopore coming forward and joining hands with Indian army for the development of the area and welfare of people.
Not only this, the youth of the area has started coming forward to showcase their talent as they have got their platform in the shape of Radio Chinar.
In the militancy infested area of Sopore, providing an opportunity to youngsters to showcase their talent was need of the hour and Indian army has done this quite in a different way.
