Urges LG to look into the issue

The border town Uri Sarpanch Faisal Khan Thurday said that people of Uri who always supported democracy and vehemently took part in strengthening the nation are being neglected on a developmental level.
He rued that the border town of Uri is without a SDM and Tehsildar creating huge problems for the people.
A town 70 kilometres away from Baramulla is strategically important and caters to a huge population living in the border areas.
Faisal Iqbal Khan said that how can people manage in this pandemic if they need any important documents.
“There should be a special treatment for the people of this region who have supported democracy all the times. But what we see is completely against.
We don’t have any SDM or a Tehsildar from last one month and people are facing lot of issues to avail the important documents at their door step,” he added.
He appeals LG office to look into the issue and other issues pertaining to border town Uri and address the issue at an earliest.
“Despite having 3 power projects here but people here are without electricity,” Faisal said.
