Three killed, five injured in road mishap in Doda

Doda, Oct. 07 : Three people were killed and five injured in a road accident in Doda district of Jammu region on Saturday morning.

An official told news agency Kashmir Scroll that on Saturday morning, one Eco vehicle bearing registration number JK06 A 8682 rolled down from high altitude when it was on its way to Khellani.

In the mishap, eight persons on board sustained serious injuries and were taken to a nearby hospital, where three injured succumbed to their injuries, officials said.

The deceased were identified as Minay Kumar, son of Daya Ram of Sarhoa Humble, Lal Chand, son of Jamit Ram, and Karan Jeet Singh, son of Shib Charan.

The officer, however, identified all the injured persons as Sanjay Kumar, son of Jamit Ram of Shrwa; Manjeet Singh, son of Pram Lal; Khushal Kumar, son of Kung Lal; Mintu Kumar, son of Balak Ram; and Sunahir Lal, son of Chuni Lal.

The officer further added that all the injured people are undergoing treatment at GMC Doda.

Meanwhile, police took cognizance of this road mishap. (KS)
