Tourism Secretary Dr Syed Abid Rasheed Hosts Public Darbar in Chijhama Baramulla

Baramulla: To take stock of the developmental work and address the issues concerning the public, Secretary to the Government Tourism department,Dr Syed Abid Rasheed, today presided over a Public Darbar at Dak Bunglow Chijhama Baramulla.

The Public Darbar was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner Sopore, Shabir Ahmad Raina, Block Development Council Memeber, Shabir Ahmad, Assistant Commisioner Revenue, Peerzada Mumtaz Ahmad, Sectoral and District officers, PRIs, social activists and a large gathering of public.

The PRIs and the general public voiced a range of prevalent demands and grievances specific to the region encompassing various developmental and administrative issues that require attention.

The primary demands and grievances revolved around harnessing the tourism potential in the Rafiabad area, establishing a drug de-addiction center and a mini-secretariat in Rohama tehsil, completing work on CHC at Dangiwacha, setting up of a Bank ATM at Hadipora, ensuring adequate sanitation facilities in the region, and providing bathroom facilities and signage on Ladoo Ladoora trek route, water filteration issues in Hadipora, setting up of children’s Park in kandi belt of Rafiabad among other pressing concerns.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Abid Rasheed highlighted the primary goal of the Public Darbar to bring the administration directly to the people’s doorsteps, ensuring easier access and engagement and appreciated the

The Secretary to the Government Tourism Department while keenly listening to the the grievances and demands raised by the public, provided prompt redressal to the multitude of the issues by involving the officers present in the darbar.

Dr. Abid Rasheed further issued directions to the officers present, instructing them to address and expedite the resolution of all issues highlighted by the public representatives on priority.

Earlier, Dr. Syed Abid Rasheed inspected various stalls set up by various departments, including Education, Agriculture, Health,ICDS, Food Supplies among others. These stalls showcased a wide range of government schemes, services, and facilities aimed at benefiting the general public.
