Baramulla, Dec 13: In a significant step towards promoting the holistic development of children, the week-long training program of the Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) under “Poshan Bhi Padhai Bhi” concluded on Saturday at Government Degree College Baramulla.
The training program aims to equip participants with the necessary skills and knowledge to support the holistic development of children in the district. This multi-faceted initiative seeks to educate participants on the importance of improved cognitive development among children and the role of proper nutrition for enhanced cognitive function, enabling children to focus and learn more effectively.
DPO Yawar Ali Khan, CDPO Wagoora G.M. Dar, master trainers Malik Aijaz and Shaheena Subhan, as well as supervisors Ashiq Hussain, Naseema Akhter, Fareeda Bano, Zareefa Bano, Haneefa, and Mehbooba were present on the occasion.
Additionally, Senior Assistants Nisar Ahmad Dar and Sajad Ahmad, along with health and nutrition mobilizer Waseem Ahmad Mir, were also in attendance.
During the closing ceremony, the trainers and supervisors were felicitated with certificates and tokens of appreciation.
Meanwhile, the District Programme Officer for Poshan Baramulla emphasized that this initiative has health benefits and aims to reduce malnutrition, which can have long-term effects on a child’s physical and mental health.
