Tulip Garden Likely to open on First Week of April

Srinagar, March 09 : Tulip garden, one of the largest tulip garden in Asia also ranked among top 5 tulip destinations in the world merely 9 kilometers from Srinagar lies in the gentle slopes of Zabarwan hills is opened annually for the month of April to May that boosts tourists from all over the world with numerous parallel running rows of more than a million multi-colored tulip flowers.

The Garden turns into a popular tourist destination in Srinagar during the bloom season in the month of April witnessing huge rush of domestic as well as national tourists, massive flow of tourists visited the garden last year adding glory to its beauty but unfortunately tourism sector of the valley got worstly affected this year by Pulwama attack that left 49 soldiers killed due to which  tense situation was created all over the country.

Ishfaq Ahmad Tour and travel agent while talking to Kashmir News Bureau said, “Pulwama attack had affected the tourism sector in the valley, many bookings were cancelled after the attack as a tense situation was created all over country while the spring is approaching  and the world famous tulip garden is going to open for the month of April and May we are expecting a good number of tourists in this session.”

Talking to a  tourist on phone, Pooja  from Delhi said, “I had visited the garden last year with one of my friend, the garden itself is a sight to behold and you could spend hours just exploring it and admiring the flowers, when these tulip laden beds are viewed from a distance, it appears as if a rainbow has descended on the earth, I am planning to visit the garden this year also with my family and I recommend all of my friends to visit the garden once.” (KNB)
