Ganderbal : Police on Tuesday claimed to have arrested two militant associates in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district.
Police in a statement issued to Kashmir Despatch reads that on specific information two militant associates were arrested by joint team of forces including Army, CRPF in Naranag area of central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district on Tuesday.
The both arrested militant associates identified as Chandi Khatana and Wajid Ali Khatana both residents of Jandiwada Rajouri.
Police statement further reads that both were part of Hibz militant outfit and were acting as couriers for active militants. They were also responsible for supplying militants with logistics, transporting arms & ammunition and guiding active militants for carrying out terror attacks in the area.
Incriminating materials including arms and ammunition were recovered from their possession and a case FIR No. 59/2019 under relevant sections of law stands registered in Police Station Kangan police statement further reads.
