Two militants killed in ongoing Shopian Gunfight

Two militants were killed in a gunfight, which is underway between militants and joint forces in South Kashmir’s Shopian district on Wednesday.

The gunfight broke late Tuesday night during a cordon and search operation, which was by joint army’s 55 RR, SOG and CRPF at Melhora village of Shopian after an input about militant presence.

A police officer told Kashmir Despatch, two militants have been killed in the gunfight sofar and operation is underway. The officer added that the identity of the militants could be not ascertained immediately.
