Two OGW’s held in Kupwur

SRINAGAR, July 22: Two over ground workers (OGWs) of Hibz militant outfit were apprehended in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Tuesday.

An official told Kashmir Despatch that during naka which was laid by joint team of Army’s 41 RR, Police and CRPF near GP hospital in Kupwara a red colour four wheeler was intercepted and during searching two persons were arrested.

Official sources said during questioning it has been learnt that both are over ground workers (OGWs) of Hibz militant outfit.

The arrested OGW’s were identified as Sahil Bashir son of Bashir Ahmad Shakshazy and Athar Yousuf Wani son of Mohammad Yousuf Wani both Budgam residents.

A police officer told Kashmir Despatch that investigation is underway into this case.
