ULB daily wagers hold meeting in Sopore

SOPORE, Jan 16:
The daily rated workers of Municipal Council across north Kashmir’s Baramulla district held a meeting at Municipal Council Sopore office in order to get redressal of their long pending demand of regularization under SRO 520 on humanitarian grounds.
The meeting was organised by daily wagers union of MC employees district Baramulla which is headed by Union President Zahoor Ahmed Malla.
During the meeting the daily wagers of municipal employees said that Government under SRO 520 have excluded them, despite the fact that they have rendered more than 15 to 20 years of service in their institutions. They appealed the authorities to include them and regularize their services on priority basis.
The municipal council daily rated employees during the meeting said that they have been performing their duties honestly and with dedication and still their wages are not being released. They also sought the intervention of Governor Satya Pal Malik in order to regularize their services at an earliest.
During the meeting the daily rated municipal council employees also demanded the reinstatement of service of Manzoor Ahmed Pampori who has been suspended from services.
Meanwhile on the closing of the meeting a new body were elected for Sopore town in which Mir Zahid were elected as a President for Sopore daily rated muncipal employees while as Nazir Ahmed Mir (Vice President ), Nazir Ahmed Bhat (Vice President 2nd), General Sectary (Parvaiz Ahmed Dar), Media Incharge (Nazir Firdous).
