Uri drowned girl retrieved, Baramulla youth still untraced

Baramulla, July 24 : Body of a 16-year-old girl was retrieved from river Jhelum in Dachi village of north Kashmir’s Uri Wednesday morning, however fourth day entered the body of Baramulla youth is still untraced.

Reports reaching said that locals with the help of Police retrieved the body of Rubeena Bano (16) daughter of Mohammad Anwar Shah, a resident of Dachi village who was slipped and drowned in Jhelum river on Tuesday when she was grazing the cattle.

Meanwhile, the searches entered on fourth day today to trace out the body of Baramulla youth namely Momin Manzoor son of Manzoor Ahmed of Jalsheri Baramulla who had drowned in river Jhelum on Sunday when he was taking a bath to beat the heat.

A police officer told that search and rescue operation are on to trace out the drowned youth. The officer said that Navy and Morrcos have been also pressed into service to retrieve the body. (GNS)
