Srinagar, July 14 : Authorities on Monday retrieved body of one of the two missing person from Canal in Uri, taken the death toll in the unfortunate incident to two.
As reported by news agency, four persons of a family slipped into water canal of lower Jhelum Hydroelectric project during an outing yesterday.
One person, 13-year-old was rescued while body of another minor was retrieved while rescue operation to trace the remaining missing person was launched on large scale.
Official sources told GNS that this morning body of Ahmad Bin Khalid son of Khalid Mehraj Shah resident of Hyderpora Srinagar was retrieved by the rescuers comprising teams SDRF and Police besides locals.
They said the efforts are underway to find out another missing person identified as Mehnaz Rashid Shah son of Ab Rashid Shah resident of Khanyar.(GNS)
