SRINAGAR, Oct 16: The Jammu and Kashmir Government on Wednesday announced the postponement of the provincial holiday on account of Urs Sheikh Noor-ud-Din Sahib (RA).
According to Government Order No. 1358-JK(GAD) of 2025 issued by the General Administration Department, the holiday, earlier scheduled for October 18 (Saturday), will now be observed on October 20 (Monday) in the Kashmir province.
The order, signed by Commissioner Secretary to the Government M. Raju (IAS), partially modifies an earlier government notification issued on December 29, 2024.
The change has been made under the directions of the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir.
