Baramulla, May 17 : Authorities on Wednesday said that 1312 selected Hajj pilgrims were vaccinated at six designated vaccination counters across Baramulla district.

The pilgrims expressed satisfaction over the arrangements made by district administration and authorities of the Government Medical College Baramulla.

A group of Hajj pilgrims told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that the district administration Baramulla and GMC authorities had made exemplary arrangements for their vaccination.

“We have never seen such arrangements for vaccination of Hajjis. We are thankful to the GMC authorities as well as the district administration for conducting the vaccination drive smoothly,” they said, adding that they appreciate efforts made by the authorities.

On the occasion, DC Baramulla Syed Sehrish Asgar, SSP Baramulla Amod Ashok and Principal GMC Baramulla Prof. (Dr) Ruby Reshi congratulated selected Hajjis and urged them to pray for the well-being and prosperity of the people.

Meanwhile, a group of doctors told KNO that there is no truth in claims of mismanagement in vaccination of Hajj Pilgrims. “It seems some elements are working to defame LG- led administration and sabotaging good governance in the UT,” they said—(KNO)
