The Varmul Valley Bee Fed Producer Company Ltd. attended two days training programme cum Workshop on scientific beekeeping in IBDC Haryana on 15 and 16 March 2022 supported by NAFED and promoted by Indian AGRIWATCH.
The programme was organised by Integrated Beekeeping development centre (IBDC) Ramnagar Kurukshetra Haryana aiming to disseminate the awareness and inculcate understanding about formation and promotion of beekeeping as an industry and its sustenance in the Agro sector on scientific front in the present general arena.
At the outset on day first, Asima Yousuf, the Chief Executive Officer of VVBFPCL in the introductory session formally welcomed the guests, speakers and audience present on the occasion and underlined the role and importance of beekeeping and its cutting-edge avenues in the contemporary global era. She further insisted that IBDC should organize such events on and off to equip honey growers with the modern practices in the current growing domain. Following in the technical session, Dr Amit Yadav and Dr. Neha (lab technicians) IBDC Haryana, offered hands on training to all the participants about the Beekeeping and were well acquainted with scientific methods like processing, labelling and packaging unit of honey.
On the second day, Reham Bari, the Assistant Manager of Agriwatch welcomed all the Board of Directors of Varmul Valley, Sanglab valley, chief guests and all participants present on the occasion. In the first session, the Chairman of Atuliaya Honey Mr Anil Sindhu presented a demonstration to the BOD’s and followed by a thoughtful speech emphasizing how to ensure better functioning of Fpos. The Apiculture Nodal officer District Ramban Dr Ayaz Ahmad Reshi also delivered a speech on the occasion, he in his speech assured that all the supportive measures shall be extended by the concerned department for the Upliftment of honey beekeepers.
In the second session the Chairman of Varmul valley bee fed producer company Ltd. Mr Manzoor Ahmad kakroo also spoke on the occasion, he expressed in his speech how to achieve desired results as a honey-grower and strongly stated the policies related to apiculture sector should always be grower friendly and shall be feasible at gross root level. He further in his speech urged VVBFPCL to work with passion and enthusiasm in order to accelerate performance and vis-à-vis attain the objectives of the company incorporated for.
Head of FPO’s Mr Ashok Burman, the guest speaker delivered a thought provoking speech. He addressed the audience about the role of FPO’s and the various marketing channels to be explored to deliver the product to the end users. He described the Govt. and NAFED support for development of FPO’s and their functioning so as to generate business opportunities for FPOs in the Agro industry. He then threw open the floor for a question-answer session wherein a good number of queries were replied to by the speaker.
In the end, the Chief Executive Officer of VVBFPCL Ms. Asima Yousuf proposed a vote of thanks to conclude two day long proceedings of the workshop.
