As we all know in present days, students and their parents prefer to join in private schools over government schools. We observe the same trend in rural areas at where majority of parents depends on agriculture and from lesser economical groups.
Government schools lack the basic facilities of toilets water and good infrastructure; hence parents are not willing to send their children to government schools mainly the girl students. Most recently Supreme Court has given instructions to state governments and union territories to provide basic facilities in schools in order to attract more students to join in them but unfortunately this never implemented on ground.
Here is the same case with Govt. High school Najibhat in Singhpora Kalan of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district which lacks basic facilities resulting in students enrolled there are facing immense hardships.
