Booked 93 people, siezed 10 vehicles : Police
Handwara, April 20 : Police on Monday said that it has booked 93 people who voilated procedural protocol and guidelines issued by Government of India amid this COVID-19 Lockdown.
Police in a statement said that atleast 93 peoole were booked for violating the orders issued U/s 144 CrPC.
In the jurisdiction of Police Station Handwara 47 persons have been arrested and Seized 01 Vehicle in Case FIR No 128,129,131,132,133/2020 under relevent sections of law has been registered against violators and investigation taken up.
While in the jurisdiction of Police Station *Qalamabad* 09 persons have been arrested in case FIR NO *36/2020* U/s 188 IPC for violating the prohibitory orders over Coronavirus.
In the jurisdiction of Police Station Vilgam 21 persons have been arrested and Seized 05 Vehicles in case FIR NO 38,39/2020 U/s 188 IPC for violating prohibitory orders imposed by District Magistrate U/s 144 CrPC..
Similarly in the jurisdiction of Police *Kralgund* 16 Persons have been arrested and *4* Vehicles have been Seized Case Fir No *45,46/20* has been registered against the violators and investigation taken up.
Once again people of Handwara are requested to follow Govt. advisories/orders so that this deadly virus/ COVlD-19 could be controlled.
