Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan on Thursday thanked Iranian Supreme leader Ayatollah Syed Ali Khamenai for speaking out against violence against Muslims in New Delhi.
The Pakistan premier also thanked Turkish President Reccep Tayip Erdogan, “I want to thank Supreme Leader Khamenei, & President Erdogan, for speaking against the oppression & massacre of Muslims in India & Kashmiris in IOJK by the Hindu Supremacist Modi regime.” Khan tweeted.
He was responding to Khamenai’s tweet in which he had condemned what he termed the massacre of Muslims in India.
In another tweet Imran Khan expressed disappointment over the silence of Muslim world over killing of Muslims in Delhi, “Sadly, few voices from the Muslim World are speaking out & condemning this; & more voices are being raised in the West condemning the Hindu Supremacist Modi regime’s massacre of Muslims in India & Kashmiris in IOJK.” He tweeted.
Earlier in the day Khamenai while taking to his Twitter handle said that the hearts of Muslims are grieving over what he termed as massacre of Muslims, “The hearts of Muslims all over the world are grieving over the massacre of Muslims in India. The govt of India should confront extremist Hindus & their parties & stop the massacre of Muslims in order to prevent India’s isolation from the world of Islam.IndianMuslimslnDanger.” He tweeted.
Over 53 people have been killed in New Delhi in violence over CAA protests.
