Calls on R&B chief

Sopore, Mar 15 : The newly elected councillors of Sopore Monday said that they will work for the people and want to see a change in the town.
“We are here for a change. We will work for the development of town come what may. Nothing can stop us chasing that dream of watching Sopore growing towards development,” one of the councilors said.
The newly elected councillors from Sopore said that they joined the mainstream politics just to work for the development and welfare of people.
“Every drop of our blood will be for our own people and we can do anything to make this change for our own people. Time has come to work together for Sopore, for the youth andfor our own people,” they told Kashmir Despatch.
Talking to Kashmir Despatch, delegation of newly elected councillors after met chief engineer R&B in Srinagar said that during the meeting many demands regarding better road connectivity with widening of major roads, drainage system, macdamization of all inner and link roads across town and other issues of public importance were discussed.
The councilors added that the R&B chief gave a patient hearing to all the issues presented by the visiting councillors and assured that all issues would be taken up meticulously for early redressal and genuine demands would be looked into earnestly.
Meanwhile, The Councilors stated that earlier the political figures from Sopore were telling the centre that Sopore is lacking development due to stone pelting.
“The mainstream politicians always used to share wrong information with centre regarding Sopore but never focused on the development of the town,” they added.
The councilors furthermore added that Sopore will be witnessing a massive development plan in coming days.
