Says realisation among younger generation is important to save their future

Pattan: Major General SS Salaria General Officer Commanding (GoC) of the counter-insurgency Kilo Force on Thursday said that “we care for Kashmiri youth, about their future.
As per Kashmir Despatch Correspondent, GOC Kilo Force addressing the media on the sidelines of a function in north Kashmir’s Pattan, said that realisation among the younger generation is very important because once they start realizing, their future will be bright.
The top army officer stated that we are working hard to keep the youth from going down the wrong path, which will not only jeopardise their careers but will also jeopardise their families.
He said “Islam has always taught peace and harmony. It is a faith that inspires countless individuals to lead lives of honesty, and integrity while bringing hope to many. He said that some vested interests push their agenda, spoil the minds of the youth and put them on the wrong path. The choices that they make at this age do not affect them alone but also affect their family, village, society, and country as a whole. “
GOC said this on the occasion of an interactive session with the youth of Kashmir Valley during the “Personality Development Program”, popularly known as “Sahi Raasta”, at Pattan, Baramulla.
It is pertinent to mention here that the aim of this program is to address the cognitive minds of vulnerable youth through the essence of Kashmiriyat (peace and prosperity) as an alternative to terrorism and the cycle of violence. The vision of this programme is to achieve the dream of Naya Kashmir.
