GANDERBAL, JULY 18 : Chairperson Block Development Council Lar Zareefa Rasheed today appealed people to wear masks in public places and observe social distancing norms after Ganderbal District Administration Declared Watlar Lone rather Mohalla Red Zone in Lar Block.
She said that in view of the recent spike in number of Covid-19 cases in Lar Block it is obligatory for all irrespective of age, gender and profession to wear masks and religiously follow medical advisories regarding social distancing and sanitization measures that are being issued by the administration from time to time.
Emphasizing the use of masks at all public places, BDC said that recent studies have shown that use of masks has been the most effective way to reduce person-to-person spread of coronavirus.
She said that it has been found that people showing laxity in taking preventive measures are falling prey to this pandemic.
She appealed to the public to observe social distancing norms and cooperate with the government in checking the spread of coronavirus.
