Welcome Day and Parents Teachers Meet was organised in Army Goodwill School, Sopore by the School administration with the assistance of Sopore Rashtriya Rifles. The event was aimed to welcome the students post-lockdown and also to initiate parent – teacher interaction at the beginning of the academic year.
The Army Goodwill School, Sopore was opened after a prolonged period of COVID-19 lockdown. However, during the period, the tireless efforts of the school administration and assistance extended by the Sopore Rashtriya Rifles successfully avoided any possibility of absolute blackout of education in the region by making extensive use of technology and thereby executing online teaching -learning process and had also organising winter workshops for the students.
During the event, students presented various cultural events to include welcome song, skit and Punjabi dance for the parents. A quiz competition to Know your Town, UT & Country was also organised for the students. Sh Pravaiz Ah Ganie, ADC Sopore was the Chief Guest of the event and presented prizes to the participants. Outstanding students of 10th standard of Sopore region were also felicitated by the Cheif Guest during the event. A total of 127 stuents and 220 parents attended the event.
At the end, all the students as well as parents were very appreciative of the efforts by the school administration and Sopore Rashtriya Rifles to organise such an event.
