Wild bear captured in Ganderbal village, shifted to Dachigam National Park

GANDERBAL : A wild bear was captured in Manigam village of central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district on Wednesday morning, wildlife officials said here.

An official told Kashmir Despatch that a cage was set up after locals reported sightings of a wild bear in Manigam village today morning.

He said the bear was captured alive and after being tranquillised it had been taken to a shelter.

He said that the bear was later shifted to Dachigam National Park.
