Wildlife Warden Seeks Bar On Public Entry In Dachigam Park As ‘Hangul Rutting Season’ Starts

Srinagar, Sep 29 : Wildlife Warden, Central Division Srinagar on Thursday shot a communique to Regional Wildlife Warden, Kashmir Region, seeking his intervention in revocation of entry inside Dachigam National Park here amid onset of “rutting of Hangul”.

“…the rutting season of Hangul has started in Dachigam National Park, since the matter is of sensitive nature and therefore, to avoid any disturbance, it is recommended that permission to enter Dachigam National Park shall be stopped from 27th of September 2022 to 18th of October 2022 please”, reads the communiqué.

Notably, Dachigam National Park located at a distance of some 22 kilometres from Srinagar is the main abode of Hangul (Kashmir Stag).
