Missing Sgr boy’s family makes fervent appeal to their son, video goes viral

Srinagar, May 21: A day after a 19-year-old boy from Srinagar’s old city went missing, his family members Friday made a fervent appeal to their son to return home for the sake of his parents.

“Come back son, we will die without you,” parents of 19-year old Mehran could be seen pleading in a video clip that went viral on social media sites. In the video, Mehran’s mother, uncle and other family members could be seen pleading amid tears appealing their son to come back home.

Interestingly, an unverified audio clip also made rounds on social media where a speaker claiming to be Mehran states that he has joined ‘The Resistance Front’ militant outfit and that his family members should look for him. A police official said that they are verifying the authenticity of the clip.

Mehran left his home at 7:15 pm on May 19, after which his family members lodged a missing complaint at police station M R Gunj—(KNO)
