Woman allegedly dies due to medical negligence: ADC Sopore to lead the district audit committee

Baramulla, Nov. 30: Days after the death of a young lady after delivery due to the alleged negligence of doctors at GMC Baramulla, the administration formed a committee, which will be led by Additional Deputy Commissioner Sopore Shabir Ahmad Raina.

An official told Kashmir Despatch that district authorities in Baramulla today formed a district audit committee, which will be led by ADC Sopore Shabir Ahmad Raina.

The officer said that the committee is set to deliver its findings to Deputy Commissioner Baramulla, Dr. Syed Sehrish Asgar, within the next 15 days.

On Wednesday, family members of deceased Dilshada Akthar (32) assembled outside the office of the Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Baramulla to register their protest against GMC Baramulla.

They shouted slogans against the hospital administration and doctors and demanded justice.

The protesting family and relatives of the deceased woman held the hospital authorities responsible for the death of their daughter.
