Sources told Kashmir Despatch that a wild bear appeared in Lalpora village, some five kilometers from sub district headquarter, and attacked a woman near her house, leaving her severely injured.

They said the injured woman namely Mymoona Akhter, wife of Nazir Ahmad Ganai, was immediately taken to Sub District Hospital Tral for treatment, wherefrom she was referred to Srinagar hospital.
