Sopore: A wreath-laying ceremony led was held at District police line Sopore to pay homage to the slain cop Wajahat Ahmed Bhat of Wagoora Kreeri.
The ceremony was led by DIG North Kashmir Suliman Chowdary and attended by other top police officials including SSP Sopore.
SPO Wajahat and a civilian were killed while another policeman Showket Ahmed Khanday of Wagoora Kreeri suffered injuries in a militant attack at the Warpora area of Sopore in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Wednesday evening.
The officials identified deceased civilian as Umar Subhan of Warpora.
