Young Lawyers Forum (Kashmir) organizes Legal Awareness camp at Tanghdar & adjoining areas in Karnah

Karnah (J&K), 7th August. 2021: Young Lawyers Forum (Kashmir) is organizing a legal awareness campaign in collaboration with G.R. Beigh Memorial Trust at Tanghdar and adjoining areas of Karnah area in Kupwara District, J&K. The awareness camp was kickstarted at the Dak Bunglow, Tanghdar, today on 7th of August and will continue in the adjoining Teatwal area until the 8th of August.


On the occasion, four members of the society, namely, Mohammad Khurram Qureshi, Tuyyab Malik, Haris Mir & Ahmad Basaud were present from the organization and interacted with more than two hundred locals on the first day.

During the interactions, the local population were made aware about the legal rights and duties, some important legislations and schemes provided by the Government vis-à-vis healthcare. Besides, pamphlets containing simplified legal information were also circulated.


“We have come here as part of our legal awareness campaign to acquaint the people with their rights & duties, some of the important laws and schemes related to health. We consider it a privilege that were able to connect with the local population and interact with them.” Said Mr Khurram Qureshi, President of the Forum.


Young Lawyers Forum is a non-profit society of young lawyers and law students from Kashmir dedicated to promulgate social justice.
