Srinagar, Aug 08 : Indian cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal on Wednesday praised the local talent, saying it is great to see players from Jammu and Kashmir making their mark and hoped someone will represent the Indian cricket team from here.

Speaking at the final match of the cricket tournament, Chahal, as per the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), said “I played here in 2009, and it’s incredible to see how far the region has come in terms of nurturing cricketing talent.”

“It’s great to see players from Jammu and Kashmir making their mark, and I’m confident that in the near future, some of them will represent the Indian cricket team,” he added.

“The tournament was amazing and I look forward to seeing even more talent emerge from J&K. I sincerely hope that someone from this region will eventually play for the Indian women’s cricket team,” the leg-spinner further said.

“My advice to young cricketers here is to keep working hard. The opportunities are there, and with the right effort, success will follow,” said Chahal while advising the local youth—(KNO)
