Zaingeer in Sopore shuts to mourn militants killing

Sopore, May 31 : A complete shutdown is being observed in parts of Zaingeer of north Kashmir’s Sopore town in Baramulla District on Friday to mourn the death of two local Lashkar-e-Taiba militants.

Reports said that all shops and other commercial establishments are closed in the belt while public transport is also thin on the roads.

They said that people from the Sopore and its adjoining areas are visiting the houses of the militants to offer condolences to the families.

Pertinently, traffic is playing smoothly on all the routes in Sopore town.

Two Lashker-e-Toiba militants identified as Naseer Ahmed Mir son of Mohammad Yousuf Mir resident of Brtah and Asif Ahmed War son of Ghulam Nabi War resident of Aftab Mohalla Warpora were killed in a gunfight with government forces at Dangerpora village of Sopore on Thursday.
