Srinagar, August 14
: On account of Pandemic, the Jammu and Kashmir administration has announced the deduction in syllabus of 10+2 classes including 10th standard to 70 percent.

Commissioner Secretary to the government for School Education Department, Asgar Samoon said that the syllabi for annual exams of 10th and 12th standard students is reduced to 70 percent.

“Syllabus for 10+2 classes exams reduced to 70 percent for JKUT. This also applies to the 10th class syllabus for exams,” Samoon posted on Twitter.

The reduction of syllabus comes as a big relief to the students who couldn’t attend schools and colleges due to COVID-19 and the students also lack resources to cover their syllabus online due to the low internet speed.

Earlier CISCE and CBSE also reduced the syllabus of students by 30 percent due to the prevailing unprecedented situation.
