16-year-old boy dies in Pak shelling in Mankote

Poonch, April 30 : A 16-year-old boy was killed in Pakistani shelling at Mankote area of Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir.

SDPO Mendhar Neeraj Padyar told that the boy namely Gulfaraz (16) son of Mohd Rashid of Tain Mankote was hit by a shell fired by Pakistani troops in the area. “The Pakistani troopers violated the ceasefire in the area by attacking Indian posts and the civilian population in the area”.

Gulfaraz, a class 12 student died on the spot, SDPO said. He said that a police party was immediately deputed to the area.

The incident occurred when the teenager was returning from nearby fields after grazing domestic animals. (GNS)
