Kulgam, Apr 30 : A three month old baby among five members of a family from Pariwan village of Kulgam district is stranded in Mohali Punjab since last 2 months due to Covid-19 lockdown
Talking to news agency— the family said that they are stranded in Mohali from last two months due to the lockdown.
Shabir Ahmad son of Mohamad Shafi Bhat(66) a kidney patient and father of 3 month old baby who has to undergo surgery in his foot said that he is stranded there along with his five family members including his father, mother, son and wife.
He said that his father is a kidney patient and was admitted at PGI Chandigarh in January and got stranded there along with his family due to the lockdown.
He further added that he along with his 3 month old baby went to Chandigarh in March for his surgery but the surgery was postponed due to Covid-19 and they too got stranded there.
“I am government employee and am presently posted outside J&K. My aged father and my son need proper care at the moment but due to lockdown we are unable provide them what they need,” he said.
He said that due to rise in temperature and no proper care his father’s condition is worsening day by day besides that of his son as well.
He urged the central government and government of Jammu and Kashmir to intervene in the matter and facilitate their safe return—(KNO)
