‘Undead Fantasy’ attracts readers; Author gets praise, makes his parents, entire locality proud

Sopore, Nov 19 : The 18-year-old Sopore boy’s book titled ‘Undead Fantasy’ was sold like hot cakes in the first weeks after getting published. The book is a combination of poetry on Kashmir related issues, which attract the readers from the valley.

The Sopore boy Abid Shaheen, who hails from Tarzoo village of Sopore in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district, has made his parents and entire locality proud by his write ups.

According to the news agency, Shaheen released his debut poetry book in which he has written a variety of poetries especially those based on the happenings in Kashmir.

Belonging to a middle class family, the author had to cope up with harsh circumstances throughout his journey.

Author credits his success to his father who he said has helped him in shaping his life all along irrespective of situations.

Notably, ‘Undead Fantasy’ is available in market and also online on Amazon.

Shaheen told that hundreds of copies were sold in the very first weeks after the book was released. He said from past five years, he has been writing articles and poetry for many newspapers of national and international reputed organizations.

Shaheen did his schooling from a local FAT school in his village. He is presently pursuing Mass Communications at Baramulla Degree College.

He said that book written by him has described each and everything about Kashmir which include literature, philosophies and other related things—(KNO)
