SRINAGAR, February 17: Two Sarpanchs and a dozen political activists hailing from District Ganderbal joined Apni Party on Wednesday in main-town Ganderbal.
Mohammad Yaqoob Khatana (Sarpanch-Chattergul) and Manzoor Ahmad Lone (Sarpanch-Kangan Town) joined Apni Party along with other political activists including Ashiq Hussain Mir, Abid Ahmad Baba, Ghulam Hassan Lone, Imtiyaz Ahmad Mir, Mohammad Ahmad Seyam, Mohammad Shafi Rather, Mohammad Altaf Parray and Meraj-ud-din.
The party leaders who were present on the occasion included: In-charge District Ganderbal Javid Mir, Asghar Ali and Nazir Ahmad Mir.
Javid Mir welcomed the new entrants to the Party and said that Apni Party was founded on the principles of ‘Politics of Truth’ and ‘Welfare of the common people’.
“There are no dynastical or nepotistic structures in our Party. Our motto is clear. As our Party President has advised us to work for the welfare of the common people on ground level, we stand by this golden principle. Let’s join hands and work to make District Ganderbal a model district in Jammu and Kashmir,” Mir remarked.
He also impressed upon the new entrants to strengthen the party at grassroot levels while delivering unrelenting services to the common people.
