73 Fresh Cases, J&K Covid-19 Tally Crosses 1500 Mark

Srinagar, May 23: Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday crossed the 1500th mark of COVID-19 as Seventy-three fresh cases for this deadly virus were reported.


A health official told Kashmir Despatch, today fresh 73 positive cases for COVID-19 were reported in the union territory of Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday including 53 cases from Kashmir division and 20 cases from Jammu Division.


As per SKIMS summary total 39 persons were found positive for the coronavirus in Kashmir Division on Saturday include 35 From Kupwara, two from Srinagar, one each from Pampore, and Baramulla.
While 14 persons were tested positive for COVID-19 at chest disease hospital Srinagar on Srinagar.


Meanwhile, The Jammu division again witnessed rapid growth in COVID-19 positive cases as on Saturday 20 more cases were reported.


Pertinently, The death toll due to deadly Coronavirus mounted to 21 in Jammu and Kashmir, A 55-year-old woman from Urnhal area of south Kashmir, who had tested positive for COVID-19, died at the SKIMS Soura on Saturday.


With the fresh death, the toll due to the coronavirus in Jammu and Kashmir has risen to 21. The Srinagar district’s toll to 6, highest in any district, followed by Baramulla 4, Anantnag 5, Budagm 2 while one death each has been reported in Bandipora, Kulgam, Udhampur, and Jammu.
