Srinagar, May 23 : The number of coronavirus cases continued to surge in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district with 35 more testing positive for this deadly virus on Saturday taking to the total number of positive cases in the district to 163.
A health official told Kashmir Despatch, today fresh 35 positive cases for COVID-19 were reported at SKIMS. He said with these the number goes to 163 in the district sofar.
As per SKIMS summary total 39 persons were found positive for the coronavirus in Kashmir Division on Saturday include 35 From Kupwara, two from Srinagar, one each from Pampore and Baramulla.
Pertinently, The death toll due to deadly Coronavirus mounted to 21 in Jammu and Kashmir, A 55-year-old woman from Urnhal area of south Kashmir, who had tested positive for COVID-19, died at the SKIMS Soura on Saturday.
With the fresh death, the toll due to the coronavirus in Jammu and Kashmir has risen to 21. The Srinagar district’s toll to 6, highest in any district, followed by Baramulla 4, Anantnag 5, Budagm 2 while one death each has been reported in Bandipora, Kulgam, Udhampur, and Jammu.
