In a heartfelt celebration of the adoption of the Constitution of India, known as Constitutional Day, an inspiring event took place at the Bn Headquarters under the guidance of Sh. Suram Singh-JKPS, Commandant of JKAP-8th Battalion, Miran Sahib, Jammu.
The celebration commemorated the significant milestones of the Indian Constitution, which was adopted on November 26, 1949, and came into effect on January 26, 1950. The Commanding Officer of JKAP-8th Battalion reminded attendees of the Constitution’s pivotal role in defining India as a Sovereign, Socialist, Secular, and Democratic Republic. He underscored the importance of the Constitution in safeguarding the fundamental rights of every citizen and laid out the essential Principles of State Policy that guide the nation.
Adding to the spirit of the occasion, a pledge ceremony was conducted, reinforcing the commitment of the unit to uphold the values enshrined in the Constitution. The event saw enthusiastic participation from various officers, including Sh. Manzoor Hussain, Dy. SP (Adjutant), Sh. Bhupinder Singh, Dy. SP (Quartermaster), and many others, all united in their dedication to these foundational principles.
The celebration served as a powerful reminder of the importance of the Constitution in shaping a just and equitable society, fostering a sense of pride and responsibility among all participants.
